When we find ourselves in the darkness, we feel lost. We feel like we're searching for something but can't quite find it. During this time of COVID-19, haven't we all felt a little like we were wandering in the dark? Maybe some of us still are. But we've been reminded  that in our darkness and in our emptiness is often when God does his best work.

John 1:4-5 (NLT) says, "The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it." Right now, it might feel like there's a gap in your life that needs filled. It might feel like there's no light at the end of the tunnel. But since the beginning of time, Jesus has told us otherwise. His light is still shining through each of us, even in the gaps. COVID-19 cannot and will not distinguish that light. Sometimes we just have to look a little harder to see it.

Start by looking at where the needs of the world around you and your passions intersect. How can your skills, talents, and gifts start to fill those needs? Take a listen to how one of our lay leaders, Justin, has walked through this process before.
